You will only pay the full cost if you like the result

I ask for a deposit of 20% to cover the cost of materials and a space in my diary. This is non-refundable. You pay the balance once the painting is complete (cash or cheque only). I will deliver the finished product in person (if you live in the Otley area) but if this is not feasible then I can email you a photo of the finished product and if you are happy with it you can send me a cheque – I will then send you your painting by post. Either option is included in the price.

Portraits

The information below will give you a guide as to how much your portrait will cost but the final price can depend on the complexity of the image, size, number of people etc so please phone or email me a description of your requirements and photograph and I will get back to you with a quote. By and large though these costs will stand for standard portraits and there are no hidden extras. For a one or 2 figure head and shoulders portrait I recommend the standard size of 16” by 16” .

All prices are based on 1 figure and a face / head and shoulders portrait on a high quality deep edge (38mm) canvas. Please add £25 per additional figure as a guide. I am open to offers and will give a 10% discount if you agree for your painting to be used in the gallery and in marketing.

Other Commissions

If you like something you see in the nature gallery or have an idea all of your own and like my style then I happily take other types of commission – many of the pieces you see on this site were inspired by clients. As these pieces will be entirely bespoke and subject to huge variation, please contact me with your requirements and ideas for a quote. Some of the pieces in the gallery are for sale and you can use the prices as a very rough guide.
